NWTF Virginia 2021 Scholarship Winner!

Samuel Reed Kirk, a member of the Botetourt Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, was chosen as the 2021 recipient of the Virginia State Chapter NWTF scholarship.

Reed will be graduating from Blacksburg High School in May with a 4.05 GPA.

He is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (The Math National Honor Society) and DECA. Reed has participated in football and lacrosse for four years and indoor track his senior year.  This year he was captain of the football and lacrosse teams.

Reed has been a volunteer at the “Wheelin Sportsmen” deer hunt in Botetourt County for the last eight years. He has attended multiple JAKES days, and been a participant in the JAKES essay contest for seven years,

Reed will be attending the University of Georgia this Fall, majoring in Sports Marketing.

We wish him well in his future endeavors, and hope he will remain active with the NWTF.
