2024 Virginia NWTF Fall Seed Subsidy
/The VA State Chapter Board of Directors is pleased to offer its members the opportunity to purchase several mixes at subsidized prices. Each member may purchase additional products in unlimited quantities at the NON-SUBSIDIZED prices listed on the order form. Always store seed in a cool, dry place prior to planting. Check with your Extension Office for appropriate planting times, methods and rates in your local area.
Available seed mixes include:
TOP FIVE® ANNUAL BLEND – 12 POUNDS COVERS 1 ACRE Contains Berseem, Balansa, Crimson, Arrowleaf, Medium Red. Five annual and biennial clovers with different maturities, flowering times and tolerances to soil and weather conditions. A perfect ration to make more food in year one. Big, tasty, annual clover blend capable of reaching 3 feet in height. Highly palatable produces excellent tonnage.
HUNT MASTER® - 12 POUNDS COVERS 1 ACRE Features the tastiest, large leafed, foliage chicory and premium red and white clovers. Soft and tender leaves are very easy to digest. Very attractive and drought tolerant. Plant 45-60 days before your fall frost. You can add it to a bag of Buck Monster® Forage wheat for greater coverage and to extend the grazing season from early fall to late spring.
WINTER GARDEN™ - 6 POUNDS COVERS 1 ACRE Awesome NEW brassica blend you can enjoy as much as your deer do. Small seeded cole crops work synergistically. Top-notch Forage Kale, Big-leafed collards. Tasty turnips and crunchy radishes. Plant 45-60 days before your fall frost.
